This method of connection is used for transceivers fitted with the IF-232 communication interface. In this way, logging software controls the RIG and keying via the COM or LPT port, and BAND DATA is acquired serially.
The PTT signal is connected to the RIG via TS2 reduction, which frees up the REMOTE connector for further use (e.g. PA control).
