If antenna switch is situated outside the ham shack, it is necessary to replace the supplied cable by an another with appropriate length.
It is better (although not necessary) to use a shielded cable, using the shielding as the GND lead. When connecting micro DOUBLE SIX SWITCH, use two leads for GND, as it carries twice as many current.
Connect one end of the cable to the terminals of antenna switch and solder the other end onto a DB25 connector from the original cable. Don't forget to use a ferrite bead, as many turns as possible. Even one turn (cable directly through the bead) helps and filters out RF from the cable.
